1 Cup Brown Sugar
1/2 Cup Margarine
1 Tablespoon Benjamins Vanilla Essence
3/4 Teaspoon Benjamins Almond Essence
1/4 Cup Milk
1 Cup Flour
1/4 Teaspoon Baking Soda
1 1/2 Teaspoon Baking Powder
1 Teaspoon Salt
1 Teaspoon Cinnamon
3 Cups Oats
1 Cup Raisins
1/4 Cup Chopped Nuts (Walnuts)
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease 2 baking trays.
Cream sugar and margarine. Fold in egg, vanilla and then milk. Sift flour, baking soda, baking powder, cinnamon and salt. Add flour mixture with oats to creamed ingredients. Finally, add raisins and nuts to mixture.
Drop from teaspoon onto greased tray. (Optional - Garnish with chopped cherries). Makes approximately 24 cookies.
Bake at 350°F for approximately 15-20 minutes.
