3 Cups Flour

1 Cup Dark Sugar

1 Bottle Stout

2 Tablespoons Butter / Margarine

1/2 Tablespoon Marmalade

1 Tablespoon Cinnamon

1/4 Teaspoon Nutmeg

2 Tablespoons Benjamins Vanilla

3 Tablespoons Baking Powder

1 Tablespoon Mollasses (optional)

1 Tablespoon Honey

2 Tablespoons Butter / Margarine

1-2 Tablespoons Mixed Spice

1 Tablespoon Strawberry Jam

1-2 Tablespoons Benjamins Browning





1.) Preheat oven to 350. Grease pan generously

and set aside.

2.) Heat stout, sugar, mollasses, honey, marmalade,

jam, butter / margarine and browning on a very low

flame, stirring until sugar is dissolved. Remove

from flame. Allow to cool then add vanilla.

3.) Mix all dry ingredients, blend well. Add egg, blend,

then pour into greased pan.

4.) Bake for one (1) hour or until toothpick inserted into

centre comes out clean.

5.)Apply glaze when cool.

1 Cup Water

Boil together to form thick syrup
